Wednesday Morning Bible Study
We welcome everyone to join us for our weekly Bible study in the fellowship hall each Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM. Come and bring a friend as we study the Beatitudes led by Virginia Mora and June Phelps.
DWF Invite – Tuesday, April 2
St. Paul’s Christian Church Disciples Women’s Ministry would like to invite the DWF groups of your church to an upcoming event! Please join us for an evening of Christian Fellowship and listening for God’s call to serve others (Dinner will be provided to all guests). Rev. David Mallory, representative to Disaster Relief of the Christian Church in North Carolina/Hurricane Relief Task Force will be here to talk about disaster relief. He will discuss what has been done and what we can to do to help those affected by hurricane Florence in Eastern North Carolina. Neighbors for Spiritual Renewal Series – Sunday, March 17
Session 2 of George Fuller’s Neighbors for Spiritual Renewal Series will be Sunday, March 17th in the Fellowship Hall at 12:30 PM to 2 PM. We will discuss Chapter 1 and introduce Chapter 2 of the book, Sacred Rhythms: Arranging our Lives for Spiritual Transformation by Ruth Barton, Chapter Two – Solitude: Creating Space for God’s Quiet Voice. Lunch is included so please sign-up for each session in the Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary. The purpose is to learn and share Classic Christian Devotional tools. There will be 8 more sessions with one or two sessions each month.
Wendell Council of Churches Lenten Services
Lenten Services began on Ash Wednesday, March 6th. These services will begin at 12:15 PM every Wednesday during Lent at Wendell United Methodist Church. You do not need to sign up. Let’s celebrate Lent with our community! A different church will provide devotional service & lunch every Wednesday. Holy Week devotional services will be at noon each weekday at Wendell Christian Church with a light fellowship lunch to follow. Our church is responsible for the devotional service and lunch on Good Friday, April 19th. Everyone is invited to attend.
Disciples Men’s Meeting – Wednesday, March 13
The DMF will have their monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 13th. Dinner starts at 6:30 PM and the program starts at 7 PM. All men of the church and their friends are encouraged to attend. RSVP George Fuller.
171st Regional Assembly – Saturday, April 27th
The Christian Church (DOC) in NC Regional Assembly will be on Saturday, April 27th at Barton College in Wilson, NC. Our church is entitled to three voting delegates and three alternate delegates. Everyone is invited to attend this Regional Assembly. See Mike Harrison know if you would like to be a delegate.
WCC T-Shirts For Sale!
The Evangelism Committee is selling t-shirts for $10.00 each. If you would like a Wendell Christian t-shirt, please let a member of the Evangelism Committee know. The members are Virginia Mora, Ann Harris, Donna Wall, Claudia Lackner, Ben Lambeth, Lori Laubscher and also June Phelps helps us out.
Disciples Women Fundraisers
DWF will be selling Rada Cutlery as an ongoing fundraiser. Please see any member of DWF to look at one of the catalogs. These make great gifts and will help the DWF with our projects. Any questions see Ann Harris or Alice Hall.
Is your loved one or close friend on display for all to see? Order a brick in honor of or in memory of a loved one or close friend. View the Memorial Garden Patio for examples. Order forms are in the Fellowship Hall or see any DWF member.
Sign-up for Altar Flowers
The sign-up calendar for Altar Flowers is on a kitchen wall. Please add your name by the Sunday you plan to present Altar Flowers and indicate who is to be honored/remembered.
Note Cards for Sale
The DWF has beautiful note cards for sale. Please see the display in the Fellowship Hall.
We lift our voices in music as part of our service, expressing our worship of God. We draw upon our rich heritage of traditional and contemporary music. There is always room for individuals who feel God’s leading to sing in the choir which meets every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary.
