Congregational Meeting – Sunday, June 7

A proposal, approved by the Church Board, to install an audio/video system in the sanctuary for live streaming of services, will be discussed and voted on at a congregational meeting via Zoom on Sunday, June 7, following the 11:00 A.M. worship service. This audio/video system will include the following equipment:

  • Digital mixer
  • HDMI Live Stream Switcher
  • Color Monitor
  • Streaming Cameras
  • Streaming Camera Lens
  • Camera Mounts
  • Pre-amp
  • Sets of Misc Cables and connectors
  • Speaker
  • Total Cost: $7,500 Max

The Church will purchase all the equipment. David Anderson, from OCD Technology, will install and test all the equipment and train 2-3 individuals to operate it. David Anderson does this for a living in many churches throughout NC. Per conversations with him, we anticipate the cost will be less than the $7,500 max amount approved by the church board. The high quality speaker will be installed once all the streaming equipment is up and working. This project may take 1-2 months to complete. Contact Jeff Laubscher with any questions about this proposal.

Children’s and Family Sunday School Time

The Education Committee emailed resources for a Children’s / Family Sunday School time. Included was a video lesson, as well as 3 handouts that you can choose to view or download. These are also available here on the website. We thought this was an excellent way for children and adults to have some time together around a Bible story. Each week we will send an email with all of the links included. Just click on the link and enjoy the materials. This week’s story is Doubting Thomas. We have decided to share it with the entire church family so if it doesn’t fit your needs we felt that you probably know someone that might enjoy having it so feel free to forward the emails. Stay safe and know, you are loved beyond your greatest imagination!

Concerned about the Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

All North Carolinians can prepare for COVID-19 by getting the latest information directly from reliable sources. The COVID-19 outbreak has been accompanied by a flood of misinformation from unreliable sources. Be thoughtful about what you read or hear about the virus and make sure you are separating rumor from fact before you act. Turn to these sources for reliable information:

As restrictions ease and we start getting back to normal, please maintain social distancing, wear masks in public and take care of our most vulnerable.

Reports and Bulletin Updates

Various financial reports, as well as other useful information, are on a table in the Fellowship Hall. Please email Sunday Bulletin updates to Glenn Harris by Friday each week.
