Annual Congregational Meeting December 4th
Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be Sunday, December 4th at approximately 1:15 PM following our traditional soup/sandwich lunch. The purpose is to receive and approve the Board-approved proposed Budget and Nominating Committee Reports.
Blue Christmas Service December 5th
Blue Christmas Service with fellow Christian Church, Disciples of Christ congregations of Wake County: We are Advent people, who understand that Christ came into the world because we need God to make things right. This Advent, we pause to make space and prepare the way for Christ’s arrival once again, lifting up all those places where we long for God to dwell and restore hope. We will gather together to acknowledge the struggles that are part of this season. In the festivities of Christmas, some are grieving people who are gone, feeling lonely, battling depression, and looking for hope in a world that has so much going wrong. We do not need to avoid the blues because we have a Lord Who is with us and is carrying us through. When we are together, burdens are shared, and hope is born. Attend the Blue Christmas Service, hosted by St. Paul’s Christian Church, located at 331 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh at 7 PM on Monday, December 5th.
Christmas Family Night December 18th

Christmas Eve Lessons & Carols, 11:00 P.M.
What sweeter music can we bring,
Than a Carol, for to sing
The Birth of this our heavenly King?
Awake the Voice! Awake the String!
You are cordially invited to join us via Zoom for our Annual Christmas Eve Service of word and song at 11:00 P.M. The prophecy and story of Jesus’ birth will be presented in word and music, including many of your favorite Christmas carols. The Service of Lessons and Carols is one of the most beautiful celebrations of the Christmas Season. You are welcome to come and join us in celebrating the Savior’s birth in this very special way.
Recycle Reminder
Recently someone put their household trash in the church recycle bin. Please put only recyclables in the recycle container. Please do not put recyclables in with the regular trash. Please Recycle. The list of recyclables is on the wall in the kitchen.
Contribute to Wendell Christian Church

Click here to make an online contribution, or you can mail your contributions to WCC, PO Box 874, Wendell, NC 27591-0874. To download the Gively smartphone app, click here. Once you have it installed on your phone, put in zip code 27591 for your location and search for Wendell Christian Church.
Martha’s Compassion Box
The CACS Committee sponsors WCC’s Martha’s Compassion Box. This is a “take what you need and leave what you can” compassion box for community residents. The box will house books for both children and adults, toiletries, and nonperishable food items. Individuals are welcome to contribute. Unfortunately, more has been taken lately than has been left. We still have an adequate supply of powdered milk and applesauce but are very low on other items. Please contribute what you can but NO perishables.
Welcome Back, Children!
WCC is welcoming back our children. Each Sunday we will have someone go back with the children after the children’s sermon. They will enjoy a story from their Spark Story Bible that aligns with the morning message. We would love to see your children. We have a sign-up sheet on the sanctuary piano for those willing to spend some time on a Sunday with our children. If you would like to find out more about our fall plans, please contact Summer Smith, Melanie Pepon, or Tammy Fuller.
Children’s Bible Story Videos
The Education Committee will be creating Bible Story videos to share with the community throughout the summer. We would love to have some guest readers so our children can feel connected to our entire community. Please contact Tammy Fuller if you would be willing to read a story for our children. (No worries if you don’t know how to create one, our team will help you with that!) Click here for this week’s story.
Contact An Elder
The Elders are available to the congregation for prayer requests, suggestions, questions or concerns. Click here to send a message to one of our Church Elders.
COVID-19 Resources
The COVID-19 outbreak has been accompanied by a flood of misinformation from unreliable sources. Be thoughtful about what you read or hear about the virus and make sure you are separating rumor from fact before you act. Click here for additional information and resources.
Reports and Bulletin Updates
Various financial reports, as well as other useful information, are on a table in the Fellowship Hall. Please email Sunday Bulletin updates to Glenn Harris by Friday each week.
